I sam looking for two newspapers please. One 12th May 1932 and one 12th May 1953.
The Formby/Southport areas would be most relevant specifically but if not available a good national paper would do.
thanks
Good morning Karen and thank you for your enquiry. I have checked the archive listings and can confirm that 12th May 1932 was a Thursday back then and 12th May 1953 a Tuesday. Regional editions from the Formby/Sothport areas are not available but we do have original, genuine, full and complete editions of The Times Newspaper for both dates. These could be offered in either the standard packaging or in the Leather Presentation Folder. Please see the website http://www.paperspast.co.uk for full details. We are able to offer free same day despatch by first class post for all orders placed by 2pm on a weekday. To place an order or simply to discuss further do telephone me on 01872 261220. Kind regards, Ian Willsher Archive Sales Manager Papers Past.
hi is there a local liverpool newspaper for the date 2nd may 1962? I am looking for a back issue for a 50th birthday gift and would appreciate feedback on whether you can supply such an item or recommend where to search for it
Thanks
karen
Hi Karen and thank you for the enquiry. I have checked the Papers Past Newspaper Archive and it turns out that 2nd May 1962 was a Wednesday back then. I was not able to turn up a Liverpool title but there was an original edition of The Times newspaper which had some fascinating news, photos and advertisements. The recipient will love and enjoy reading this paper and seeing their date of birth at the top of every page. To order the paper in a quality leather folder simply phone through your details to me on 01872 261220 and I will discount the £54.95 price by £5 and send it post free. Kind regards, Ian Willsher Archive Sales Manager Papers Past
We are looking for a glasgow newspaper for my father in laws 80th birthday can you help please?
Good morning Eleanor and thank you for your enquiry. I have checked the archive listings for 1932 and we certainly have vast quantities of newspapers from back then. However, they are mainly in original editions of The Times newspaper, I’ve read through some of them and they have both national and international news which would make fascinating reading for your father in law and I’m sure that once he gets on to the pages of house and job advertisements he will keep the family amused with what he has found. Sorry, no Glasgow papers but The Times will include Scottish news and sports results etc. Do call me on (01872) 261220 to order or discuss further, Ian Willsher, Archive Sales Manager.
im looking for the first newspaper made. could you have something to show me? thank you
Hi Julia, Thank you for your message. Our huge Newspaper archive goes back to pre Victorian times but doesn’t hold the first newspaper ever printed – sorry. Whilst these very old newspapers are really interesting just think how amazing an original newspaper from your birthday would be – this is what we specialise in – Birthday and Anniversary Newspapers. I’ll keep a eye out for any first edition newspapers for you and if anything turns up I’ll be in contact. Sam Willsher Papers Past Archive Manager
I’m looking for a newspaper from 1921 for my mother’s 90th birthday. Your website looks like the papers are from the UK. Do you have any U.S. papers from that year?
Thank you,

Hi Claire, We have an original, genuine, full and complete edition of The Times for 8th Jan 1952, it was a Wednesday back then and it could be despatched today. To order simply call me on (01872) 261220 or go to http://www.paperspast.co.uk. Many thanks, Ian Willsher, Archive Sales Manager, Papers Past.
Good morning Sue and thank you for your enquiry. I have checked the archive listings and it turned out that 13.9.42 turned out to be an unavailable Sunday edition ( the 1942 editions we have in the archive were saved for reference by Libraries and Government Departments and with them not being open on Sundays they did not have the forsight to save the Sunday papers). However all is not lost as we could still supply the following days edition which reports all of the news and events of Sunday 13th September. Do give me a call on 01872 261220 to order or discuss further. Kind regards, Ian Willsher, Archive Sales Manager Papers Past.
